Did you know that the digital signals carried on cable networks are really analog signals? Or that so-called sunspot outages that can affect satellite reception have nothing to do with sunspots? Find out why all MSO’s are cable operators, but not all cable operators are MSO’s.
Insights that you can’t miss. These and many others will be offered up by AHECTA’s 2011 Annual Conference Keynote presenter Ron Hranac, Technical Leader for Cisco Systems. His presentation, titled, “Did You Know” will include other misconceptions, misunderstandings and misnomers in the technology of cable.
Ron represents the company on a variety of SCTE Engineering Subcommittee and CableLabs specifications and standards development working groups. Ron served as CT Publications’ Senior Vice President of Editorial. He remains Senior Technology Editor and a monthly columnist for Communications Technology magazine.
The 2011 Annual Conference is scheduled for June 22-24 in Tampa – headquarters will be the Tampa Intercontinental Hotel. More information to be posted on AHECTA.org in the coming months.
